Obama's Press Conference About Stem Cells
I personally believe that the use of stem cells is a good thing because it can save many people. Scientists are saying that if they do some research on stem cells they can find a cure for cancer and other diseases. If scientists were able to that, wouldn't that just be amazing? Many people argue that taking stem cells from women is a bad thing to do because you're killing potential babies. Women have a lot of embryos containing a lot stem cells, so why is it so bad to take some?

Wake Up Call
When I wake up in the morning, I feel different than going to sleep at night. When I get out of bed, my arms and legs feel sore for not using them for awhile. It is also different in my room and outside. My room is warm at night, but it's freezing in the morning. When I go to sleep it is night and is quite dark outside. When I wake up is is morning and the sun is up. I also happen to have to go to the bathroom when I wake up. An organ system involved is the excretory system because it filters out cellular wastes, toxins and excess water or nutrients from the circulatory system. I think negative feedback loops work to make sure that the changes I experience do not become too extreme. Negative feedback balances different levels of things in your body. While positive feedback changes your body instantly.

To Rap or Not to Rap?
I think this assignment helped improve my knowledge and understanding of photosynthesis because we were able to make any type of song about photosynthesis. This assignment was a fun way to learn about photosynthesis. It also helps because on a test we would remember our songs and would be able to answer the questions on photosynthesis. The one and only drawback was recording your voice into the song. It was hard to make your voice go with the beat. And I don't think doing a lab would help me personally because I don't really like labs so it wouldn't really help me learn anything.

What I'm Thankful For
I personally and globally am thankful for many things. Personally I'm thankful for my parents' support in school and life. I'm thankful for my teachers who teach me interesting and helpful things. I'm thankful for my friends for always being there for me whenever I needed them. I'm thankful for my mom driving me to all my basketball games. I'm thankful for my coaches who have made me who I am today. I'm thankful for my older cousin who has always been like my older sister, taking me to the movies, taking me out to eat, etc. Globally I'm thankful for all the soldiers who are risking their lives for us. I'm thankful for all the police officers who everyday are protecting us and trying to make our communities better. I'm thankful for hospitals and doctors for trying their best in saving peoples' lives. I'm also thankful for farmers who grow food for us and people who make food so we don't ever starve. I pretty sure I'm thankful for many other things, but I can't think of them. But these are some things that I am thankful for.

Do Science Fair Projects Actually Help "Teach" Science?
I think Science Fair Projects do help teach science in some ways. It's a good way for students to get involved in science because they can pick many different topics that they like. For example, my science fair project is how gravity effects the growth of plants. That project would most likely teach me more things about plants and how they grow and how gravity effects plants. Also, if the student picks a topic they like, they would do a lot of research on it without really knowing that they are learning something.

Use of Stem Cells a Good Thing or a Bad Thing?
I think the use of stem cells is a good thing. I think it is a good thing because you could save people's live. Like the woman in the video. Her stem cells made a windpipe, so she can breathe easier. It also lessened the risk of her body rejecting the windpipe. If it was a windpipe that her stem cells had not made, the woman's body would've had rejected it and she could die. So, I think the use of stem cells is a good thing.
